Reviews
Possibly went on a bad day given the mostly positive reviews but the donuts we had fell short.
Texture of the bombos was fine, quite pillowy and soft. Taste-wise, both the lemon pie and the pistachio & cream flavours were pretty good. But the amount of filling was disappointing, just a scant teaspoonful for both donuts despite the misleading "filling overflow" on the tops. Ended up eating mostly plain donuts for 6.50, very underwhelming and poor value.
Apparently this store just sells the filled bombo donuts while the Marrickville flagship has the cake donuts as well.
Blown away by the incredible selection and quality of their donuts.
The display case was filled with an impressive array of donuts, each one more mouthwatering than the last. From classic flavors like glazed, to unique creations, there was something for everyone. They also have special ones so don't miss trying those!
The real standout was the quality of the donuts themselves. Each one was perfectly cooked, with a crispy exterior and a soft, fluffy interior that practically melted in my mouth. The flavours were bold and delicious, with just the right amount of sweetness.
The toppings and fillings were expertly crafted, with a perfect balance of flavours and textures that made each bite a true delight.
The staff were also very friendly.
Overall I would recommend trying the donuts. I would also suggest going early in the day as they are freshly baked and also they have more stock. Towards the end of the day, the most popular flavours tend to run out of stock.
My fave donut shop in Sydney. Not only do the offer interesting & a lot of different flavours, but most importantly they do their doughs perfect. Light, fluffy & not greasy. I’ll have all of the anytime of the day!
I never get bored at this place, They always create a new flavor of donuts every month. There is gluten free donut as well. If you’re donut fan, I recommend you should try this place.
Saw this place is always long queue and decided to try the donut.
Taste 5/5
Value 5/5
Price 4/5
Really love the selection of the donut. They also has the liquor donut. Size is big and taste is good. not sweet.
Really recommended to try this donut and it is better to come before lunch time so has more selection and the queue is not too long.
I love doughnuts, and I love Doughnut Papi! Always something new to try. I grabbed the mystery last time, and it was peanut buttery goodness, delish crumb and a chocolate icing. Yum. Friendly staff. Note, never leave your doighnut buying to late in the day. Often, they run out and get to close early. Very filling. I'm glad I don't live any closer....
Are these the best donuts in Sydney? I’d put my money on it!
First time here was a few months ago, a happy accident on our way down Elizabeth street. This time we came back to be there right when it opened, and a good thing too! No line up until 5 minutes before opening and then all of a sudden the line was at least 10 heads deep, and for good reason! We were first in line, and I felt like a VIP.
A good donut starts with a delicious base, and even without the frosting you know these donuts are just divine to bite into. Add on the creative flavours, which the filo in my soul loves. Ube polvoron, milo, calamansi poppy, pistachio, blueberry, and your classic sprinkle. No regrets getting the 6-pack.
I’ll definitely be back the next time I want to treat myself, and I’d be down to rep the shop with one of their cool shirts or hats too.
Pretty damn awesome donuts (and they’re big!), saved Mother’s Day for me. Great selection with a hint of delicious Filipino flavours like ube and calimansi. Will def be back to try out all the flavours!
